"Girls speak with pride about their school and have a sense of belonging.  They are enthusiastically involved in what the school has to offer."

Nga Tawa’s rural setting near the Rangitikei town of Marton serves as a beautiful backdrop for students while providing them with access to the best outdoor adventure and experiential learning opportunities in the North Island. Within close proximity to ski slopes of Mt Ruapehu, rafting sites on the Rangitikei River and with abundant bush, hill and coastal treks - our unique location allows students to take full advantage of the untamed New Zealand landscape. The 100+ acre campus just off State Highway One and halfway between Wellington and Taupo, enables convenient access and touring of many North Island amenities.

The region, while rich in natural beauty, is also historically significant, with Wanganui being the location of the first settlement in New Zealand. Palmerston North is located just 30 minutes from campus and is a culturally diverse centre for education, scientific research, commerce and logistics. The city is known for its young well-educated and progressive population. Along with the historically-rich city of Wanganui, Palmerston North provides Nga Tawa students with a variety of cultural activities and events where they can enjoy their spare time on weekends.
