The focus of the Year 9 and 10 curriculum is to provide opportunities to experience a range of disciplines, as well as to build sound skills and competence in core subjects. Year 10 is seen as a vital preparatory year for NCEA and provides the essential grounding necessary for success in the senior school. In many subjects, some NCEA standards will be offered to assist the transition to Year 11.
