The focus in the senior school curriculum is to prepare students for gaining a leaving qualification that will provide for them the best opportunity to pursue the tertiary education and career of their choosing. For most students this will be the National Certificate in Educational Achievement, but for others the International Baccalaureate will be appropriate. For very able Year 13 students, the New Zealand Scholarship examinations provide additional challenge and opportunities to excel.
