Terms 2 and 3

Hockey:
In 2009 Nga Tawa Diocesan fielded 5 teams in the Manawatu Competition, with many players selected for representative honours. Trainings for all teams are held at various times during the week.

Netball:
Netball is one of the largest sports at Nga Tawa Diocesan with 9 teams. Nga Tawa Diocesan School was awarded the prestige award by Netball Manawatu in 2009 for awarded the Manawatu Netball Club of the Year for overall contribution and commitment throughout the season. Competition for all teams is played Palmerston North.

Badminton:
Badminton is rather a new sport offered at Nga Tawa Diocesan School with coaching held through terms 2 & 3. 2009 four teams competed in the local competition in Wanganui.

Cross Country:
The Nga Tawa Diocesan Cross Country Team is selected from the school cross country that competes in the regional and New Zealand Championship as well as the annual Round the Lakes Relay.

Football:
Football has grown in a sport at Nga Tawa Diocesan School with trainings held Monday & Thursday afternoons and the Manawatu competition being held on a Wednesday night. The annual

Basketball:
Nga Tawa Diocesan School has two teams playing in the Manawatu Friday night competition (term 2 & 3), with this being reduced to one team in term 4 which plays in a summer league. Trainings are Monday & Wednesday.

Skiing:
2009 the Nga Tawa Diocesan team was placed 11th out of 102 teams at the North Island Secondary School Championships.

Squash:
Squash coaching is provided during terms 2 & 3. With teams selected to compete at interschools and the Wanganui Secondary School Championships.

Target Shooting:
Nga Tawa Diocesan was placed 1st in the 2009 NZSS Girls Eley Postal Shoot. Team member Amber Edmonds was selected into the NZ Junior Target Shooting Team and along with Anna Lissington was selected into the North Island Junior Team and Manawatu Secondary Schools Team.
