Baiboon Prajacksanon

SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE

When Baiboon arrived at Nga Tawa from Thailand, she expected her time here to be about two things: achieving academically and riding horses. Two years later, she leaves with so much more.

Her involvement in Nga Tawa’s equestrian programme in Year 12 also opened the door to new experiences, allowing her to participate in and watch equestrian events she had never encountered before.

Her academic journey has been equally rewarding. Business Studies gave Baiboon the opportunity to experience what it is like to start and develop her own business, teaching her the importance of attention to detail and accountability.

But when Baiboon reflects on her time at Nga Tawa, it is the people and relationships she will remember most.

“My time at Nga Tawa passed by faster than I ever expected. When I first joined, I thought I was simply coming here to focus on my academics and ride horses. Looking back, it is incredible to see how much I’ve grown—not just as a student, but as a person.

Living alongside others taught me independence, self-responsibility, and life skills. Joining the equestrian program in Year 12 opened up an exciting world of new experiences, giving me opportunities to participate in and watch events I had never seen before. Above all, it’s the people who made my journey here so special. Living and learning alongside my friends turned boarding into a second home. From endless laughter to supporting each other through every challenge, the bonds I made here are memories I will hold onto forever.

Academically, the opportunities here have been very beneficial to me. Taking Business Studies, in particular, gave me the rare chance to dive into a hands-on project like starting my own business. That single experience taught me how to pay attention to every detail and build accountability — the skills that will benefit me far into the future. I’m deeply grateful to my friends, teachers, and the Nga Tawa community.”
