I think that my South Island trip was one of the most enjoyable experiences I had on my exchange program. In two weeks we travelled from the top to the bottom of the South Island, from the east to the west (covering 4000km) it is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen! We've seen all possible sceneries: seaside, Golden Bay, Kaikoura, mountains, Fox and Franz Joseph Glaciers, Mt Cook, Dunedin, Christchurch and all the land in between! Those I mentioned were just examples.

We never took boring guides, Russell told us about the history or speciality of the place. There was also time for fun and excitement, of course! In fact we spent three days in Queenstown, where with your parents' permission; we could do all sorts of activities, from sky diving to the Lord of the Rings track. Many activities were already included, for example the jet boat, Lodge and the whale watching.
The trip was not only exciting, it was also great fun and I made lots of new friends.

We slept in camping grounds in house-units not in tents, we moved almost every night. There were cooking teams each day who prepared breakfast, lunch and dinner for everyone, it was so much fun!

This was a really fantastic experience which I will never forget! So I recommend it to all international students who don't want to sit exams at the end of the year.
