“Where the past is always present”
The Archives is where we keep all the important history of Nga Tawa Diocesan School.
We have stored hard and electronic copies of past student and staff details, our annual school magazine “Script” and the Old Girls newsletter “The Calico Line”. As well as this we hold copies of important church services, sporting and cultural activities along with photos.
The history of buildings and extensions are also held here along with plans and pricings and we are lucky enough to have some of the original china that was ordered in the 1920’s and was used in the dining hall.
Old Girls often drop in to visit or send letters or emails requesting information. They may be wanting to hold a small class or year reunion and need to get in touch with classmates. Old Girls often send in amusing accounts of their time at Nga Tawa perhaps with photos or uniform that they wore while they were here. Old school uniforms that we have are often commented upon, the cloaks in particular are treasured items.
These form a wealth of history that is Nga Tawa.
