Applications for our 2022 scholarships have now closed. We have a number of scholarships available to students who are considering Nga Tawa for the 2023 academic year.

Ministry of Education Boarding Allowance

A boarding allowance can help students in remote areas or facing other barriers, board from home and focus on their studies. Parents or caregivers have to apply for this allowance and funding is paid directly to schools.

Mihingare (Anglican) Secondary School Scholarships

Provided by the St Stephen’s and Queen Victoria Schools Trust Board.

The Mihingare (Anglican) Secondary School Scholarships are for Maori secondary school students who demonstrate financial need, leadership qualities/potential and a satisfactory educational background, and who will benefit from additional financial support for their secondary schooling. Each year, a maximum of 30 scholarships worth up to $7,500 each are offered.

The Henry & William Williams Memorial Trust Scholarship

The scholarships are for Maori secondary school students, who are commencing year 9 of their education, who demonstrate leadership qualities/potential, a satisfactory educational background, and who will benefit from financial support to access quality educational pathways.

The scholarship is for $8000 per annum and may be continued for successful applicants for up to 4 years, subject to evidence of satisfactory progress.
Applicants must be of Maori descent and who are members of the Anglican Church.
