Boarding Manager

Nga Tawa is a special character boarding and day school for year 9-13 girls in Marton, Rangitikei. Being a smaller school, it enables staff to have a dedicated approach to the student's education, wellbeing and overall development. The boarding element is crucial in providing an environment in which the girls feel comfortable, valued and supported.   

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Junior Boarding Manager for our Year 9 or 10 girls. The Boarding Manager role is crucial in nurturing and supporting the development of our girls within the junior boarding environment. Reporting to the Director of Wellbeing, the role is also responsible for fostering systems that enable smooth day-to-day functioning.  

This is a dynamic role that requires flexibility, excellent communication and an understanding of adolescent teenager girls and cultural diversity. A clean driver’s licence and a current first aid certificate is a must. Applicants with management experience and those with an education or health care background will be well suited to the role.

Days and hours of work during the school term are negotiable with some holiday work required for professional development and planning. Onsite accommodation may be available if required.

Cook/Shift Supervisor

(Sunday – Thursdays)

Nga Tawa Diocesan School is a special character boarding and day school for year 9-13 girls in Marton, Rangitikei.

We are looking for a highly capable cook to join our busy school kitchen to assist with management within our catering team. As a shift supervisor, the successful applicant will be able to maintain all aspects of kitchen operations in the absence of catering management.

This role requires experience in quantity meal preparation and service, specialist cuisine, baking, and function catering. A relevant catering qualification would be an advantage. Rostered days are Sunday – Thursday during term time and may include some split shifts. Some hours during school holidays may be required.  Hours may be negotiable.  Remuneration will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
