Boarding Manager 

Term time only (up to 45 hours per week) 

Nga Tawa Diocesan School is a special character boarding and day school for year 9-13 girls in Marton, Rangitikei.

We are seeking a dynamic and committed Boarding Manager to help provide a home away from home for our girls.

Boarding Managers are responsible for the daily care of students in each year group. Each year level has their own boarding manager who has intimate knowledge of every student in their care. Flexibility, excellent communication, and an understanding of cultural diversity is essential, as is a clean drivers licence and a current first aid certificate. Those with a teaching, nursing, or counselling background will be well suited to the role.  

Days of work will be Monday to Friday, during the school term.

Onsite accommodation may be available to the successful applicant.

Head of Equestrian

Fulltime salaried position

Nga Tawa Diocesan School is home to New Zealand’s largest on-site school equestrian centre. We currently stable 82 horses and 90 of our students ride.

We are seeking a Head of Equestrian to lead our vibrant Equestrian Academy and ensure our girls are given every opportunity to excel in their chosen sport of equestrian.

Set amongst 90 acres of rolling Rangitikei farmland, Nga Tawa provides all the facilities young riders need – including three all-weather arenas, a canter track, covered yards and an equine studies classroom. We also have school-owned or leased horses and ponies for girls who don’t have their own.

The successful applicant will be entitled to six weeks annual leave a year. Hours of work are 40 hours per week but may fluctuate depending on business requirements.

We’re looking for someone to:

  • Execute robust strategic plans and policies
  • Coach and mentor young women
  • Lead a team of high-calibre coaches
  • Oversee the management of our stables
  • Ensure the long-term success of Nga Tawa’s Equestrian Academy
