Teacher of Piano and/or Singing

Nga Tawa Diocesan School is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Singing and/or Piano Teacher to join our vibrant music programme.

This role may be offered as one combined position (singing and piano) or two separate positions, depending on the skills and availability of applicants.

About the role

  • Approximately 2 days of teaching per week, negotiable and dependent on student demand and interest
  • Teaching typically takes place between 9.00am and 3.30pm
  • Days and hours are negotiable
  • Teaching students from beginner through to higher grade levels, including NZMEB, ABRSM or equivalent

The successful applicant will have:

  • Must have at least a LAT (Limited Authority to Teach); we can support an application
  • The ability to teach students up to higher grade levels (NZMEB, ABRSM or similar)
  • A current driver’s licence
  • Relevant teaching experience and/or qualifications in singing and/or piano
  • A positive, student-focused approach and the ability to work well within a school environment
