Marketing & Communications Lead

Full-time

Nga Tawa is a special character boarding and day school for year 9-13 girls in Marton, Rangit?kei. Founded in 1891 on a principle of empowering girls to achieve extraordinary outcomes in their lives beyond school, we’ve been turning out women of influence for 133 years.

We’re made for girls. The complete education experience we offer has put Nga Tawa in the top tier of NCEA achievement. In 2023, for the fourth year running, our girls achieved a 100% pass rate at Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3. 100% of year 13 students achieved University Entrance. Not only do our students get an amazing education, their co-curricular lives are rich, varied and vibrant. Girls can bring their horse to school (we have 86 horses that live onsite too), excel in performing arts or be the next Olympian. Sounds like a cool school to market, right? We’re looking for an experienced Marketing and Communications Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will lead activity as implied by the position title but will also be capable of doing the doing.

School Counsellor

25 hours per week during term time

Nga Tawa is a special character boarding and day school for year 9-13 girls in Marton, Rangit?kei. We are seeking a highly motivated school counsellor to join our wellbeing team.

Reporting to the director of wellbeing, the successful applicant will have a relevant tertiary qualification in counselling, psychology or social work, ideally to a Masters level. They must have a full or provisional membership with a recognised professional body. Previous experience working in a school or youth counselling setting is preferred.

Skills required:

Days and hours of work during the school term are negotiable with some holiday work required for professional development and planning. Applicants must be a New Zealand citizen or resident or have a valid work visa.

HOD Languages

Full-time salaried position

1 MU Permanent, 1 MU Fixed and 1MMA Permanent

Nga Tawa Diocesan School is a special character boarding and day school for year 9-13 girls. Ranked in the top tier of NCEA achievement, Nga Tawa had a 100 per cent pass rate at Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 in 2023. 100 per cent of year 13 students achieved University Entrance.
 
One of our much-loved language teachers is retiring at the end of 2024 after 40 years at Nga Tawa. We are looking for our next superstar language teacher to foster a love of languages in our young women and lead the languages department. The successful applicant will be confident teaching French to junior and senior (NCEA) students as well as English and English for Speakers of Other Language (ESOL). The ability to teach other languages will only benefit the department.
