It’s very ironic that Tony finds himself as the acting Head of Equestrian, a role he is rather familiar with. Tony was appointed Head of Equestrian in the early 1990’s and he has been employed by Nga Tawa in the 30 years since. He's had a fulfilling and very rewarding career. When he expressed his interest in becoming an English teacher in the early 2000’s, the school supported him on that journey. He moved from the yards to the classroom block, but he watched on fondly as the Equestrian Academy grew exponentially under Libby Rayner’s stewardship. Tony is very proud to be a part of this iconic area of the school and it’s a place that is very special to him. He comes from a successful Grand Prix Show jumping and Three Star Eventing background and it has been his privilege to share his experiences and knowledge with Nga Tawa girls over many years and witness their progress and success. He's enjoying supporting and guiding a new generation of young riders.
